Lip Dotting Blush Pre-Care Instructions
Lip Skin Preparation:
The delicate nature of lip skin requires thorough preparation. Ensure your lips are supple, moisturized, and hydrated for the procedure.
- If prone to cold sores/herpes, start an antiviral 3 days prior.
- Avoid alcohol 5 days before and 3 days after the procedure.
- Refrain from caffeine, including energy drinks and tea, 2 days before.
- Do not exercise on the day of the procedure.
- Avoid tanning or attending the appointment with facial sunburn.
- Steer clear of blood thinners like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and fish oil 2 days prior.
- No chemical peels, botox, or laser treatments 4 weeks before.
- Schedule lip blush at least 4 weeks before or after lip filler appointments.
Lip Blush After-Care Instructions
Post-Treatment Swelling:
Swelling is normal and usually subsides within 48 hours. Use an ice pack for 10 minutes every hour for the first 5 hours to reduce swelling.
Day of Treatment – Absorb is Key:
Gently dab the area with a cotton ball to absorb excess lymph fluid for the first 24 hours post-procedure.
After-Care Until Peeling Completes:
- Keep lips dry, except when cleaning.
- Clean lips twice a day with a damp cotton pad and micellar water.
- Apply a thin layer of moisturizer provided consistently throughout the day. Avoid over-application.
- Do not pick, bite, lick, scratch, or rub the peeling area.
- Use a straw for drinking.
- Avoid spicy/hot foods and drinks, intense physical activity, hot showers, saunas, tanning, facials, waxing, threading, laser, or skin treatments.
- No Botox or fillers for at least 4 weeks post-treatment.
